| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Made of durable Imperialware and adorned with an exquisite blue and white motif, this elegant challah knife is perfect for slicing the loaf of braided bread enjoyed on Jewish holy days.
Amazon.com Review With a ceramic handle intricately detailed in blue and white, this 12-1/2-inch stainless-steel challah knife from Spode's Judaica line makes an exceptional gift for a family member or friend. Judaica is crafted from Spode's fine Imperial earthenware, and is highly collectible. In various tones of blue on a soft ivory background, the stylized flowers and vines on the handle are influenced by designs found on historic Judaic manuscripts and ceramic tiles. Also featured on each side are a Star of David and the Hebrew for 'Shabbat,' the main ceremony at which challah, a braided egg bread, is eaten. The highly-polished blade is finely serrate and gently curved, perfect for either cutting the bread, or as some traditions prefer, for remaining symbolically on the table while the bread is torn by hand. Made in England, the knife will last for generations if carefully hand-washed and dried. --Ann Bieri
